Mariam is Nureen’s younger sister, who would not have been able to continue with school after free primary school without help, and Nureen came to us asking to assist her little sister. Mariam and Nureen’s parents disappeared when they were young, and they were raised by their grandmother who supported them by selling peanuts. Their grandmother is getting older and has difficulty walking so has been unable to sell peanuts – which was their only source of income. Mariam was #2 in her class out of 70 students in primary school and wants to become a dentist. We are now supporting her through high school thanks to your generosity.
